On 26 August 2026, it will be two years since the protection against unfair deactivation for platform workers who are "employee-like" came into force. The Closing Loopholes legislation closed a gap in which platform workers who were independent contractors but operated like employees could be excluded from the platform that gave them work without any reason or fair process. This webinar reflects on developments in this jurisdiction of the Fair Work Commission, including recent cases.
